WELLINGTON will be without three key players for tomorrow's (Sat) away match against unbeaten Clevedon Town in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League.
Former club captain Glen Wright and centre backs Jordan Hayman and Tom Stone will be missing, while assistant player-manager Jack Porter may not be available.
"It's not the time to have such players missing, especially when you're playing a top side," said Porter earlier this week.
Porter admitted that last weekend's 3-1 home defeat against Ilfracombe Town was 'not good especially after we made such a good start.'
He added: "We were carrying too many players with injuries, including myself. The result was disappointing."
Clevedon are unbeaten after ten league games, having won seven and drawn three, and are lying third in the table with games in hand on the two teams above them.
Wellington are second from bottom, six points clear of Millbrook who slumped to an 8-0 home defeat against leaders Helston Athletic last weekend.
Wellington Reserves, still lying second in Division One of the Devon & Exeter League despite two successive defeats, play at home to University of Exeter 3rds who have played only three games, winning two and drawing the other.
Wellington A, unbeaten in Division One of the Taunton Saturday League, play the leaders of this division Wellington Road Dons in the Rowbarton Charity Cup at The Rec (2.30). The Dons have also yet to lose, having won four and drawn three of their games.
Wellington side Moortown, who won 5-0 at Williton in the first division of the Somerset Sunday League last weekend, are without a match this weekend.
Wellington Wildcats, who slumped 6-0 at Yeovil in Division One of the Somerset Women's League last weekend, will be looking to bounce back when they play at home to Banwell this weekend.
Wellington Ladies, who lost 5-1 at home to Bridgwater VPR in Division Two South, are away to Combe St Nicholas.
There is also a full programme of matches in the Taunton Saturday, Somerset Sunday and Taunton Youth Leagues this weekend, while there is plenty of action in the Somerset Women's and Girls' Leagues.
