MENTAL health charity Mind in Somerset will be attending Wellington AFC's home game against Bradford Town on Saturday, March 7, to carry out a bucket collection and help raise awareness of mental health support across the county.

The charity will be at the Carly Press Ground before and during the match, giving supporters the opportunity to donate and learn more about the services Mind in Somerset provides to people experiencing mental health challenges.

Alison Baker, from Mind in Somerset, said: "We’re really pleased that Wellington AFC are supporting us and helping to raise awareness around mental health.

“Football clubs play such an important role in their communities, and opportunities like this help us start conversations, reduce stigma, and let people know that support is available – as well as raising much needed funds."

Alison said Mind in Somerset would like to thank Wellington AFC and their supporters for their generosity and for helping shine a light on the importance of mental health.

Saturday’s game against Bradford, in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western League, kicks off at 3p.m.
