MORE THAN two years of effort comes to fruition on Friday when 10Radio,Wiveliscombe's very own radio station is due to take to the air.
Somerset and South African test cricketer Charl Willoughby will throw the main switch at 6pm at Wiveliscombe Community Centre to signal the start of regular broadcasts to the Ten Parishes area of Wiveliscombe, Milverton and the surrounding eight parishes of Ashbrittle, Stawley, Bathealton, Fitzhead, Chipstable, Huish Champflower, Clatworthy and Brompton Ralph.
10Radio, broadcasting on 105.3fm, is the first Community Radio station to run in Somerset and represents a major effort by the local community.
