TWO fire appliances, one from Wellington and another from Taunton, were mobilised to reports of a vehicle on fire on the hard shoulder of the M5 motorway on Saturday afternoon.
The first crew on the scene from the Wellington station reported that the fire appeared to involve the bonnet of the vehicle following the engine overheating.
The Wellington crew set to work with one hosereel jet and extinguished it quickly and the cause of the fire was confirmed as accidental.
