New operation base & second aircraft for air ambulance charity to reach more patientsDevon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was called at 5.12am on Tuesday, April1, to attend to a fire at a bungalow in the Burlescombe area.
Crews from Wellington, Tiverton, and Cullompton attended and extinguished the fire using two main jets, two hose reel jets, breathing apparatus and thermal imaging cameras.
The police were called by the fire service just after 7am on the same morning.
No-one was reportedly injured but substantial damage was caused to the property, with 90 per of the building suffering fire damage.
Fire service investigators and police remained on the on scene to establish the circumstances surrounding the fire.
