A WELLINGTON man has been charged with arson following the fire at Waitrose in the town on Sunday.

Robert Pitman, 24, of 62, High Street was apprehended on Sunday and denied bail before appearing at Taunton Deane Magistrates Court on yesterday morning where he pleaded not guilty.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Taunton Crown Court on August 19.
