PICTURED are members of Wellington's police team which has won the coveted team award in competition with other local police teams from across Avon and Somerset Constabulary's Somerset West district for excellence in neighbourhood policing.

The awards are handed out annually by Avon and Somerset police Authority.

Sgt Stuart Bell, in charge of the Wellington police team, said: "We missed out on best PC, but four out of five is not bad.

"We aim to improve for next year."
