YOUNG Keiran Harcombe has thanked the dozens of people who turned out to support a Big Breakfast event at Nynehead Court to help raise money for a defibrillator for the village.
The care home supplied the food for the event and members of Nynehead Memorial Club committee and Keiran, 16, served and took money.
Keiran said: “We have raised about £350 from the breakfast and individual donations but we have to raise £2,500, so we have a long way to go.”
He added: “We live in such a rural area it’s very difficult for an ambulance to get here within a certain timeframe. If someone had a cardiac arrest a defibrillator could be used before an ambulance arrived.”
