THE full list of candidates for the Rockwell Green by-election have been officially announced this afternoon (January 14).

The by-election is being held to fill a vacancy on Wellington Town Council following Cllr Sue Fox’s resignation on Monday, December 1.

Cllr Fox is the sixth councillor to step down from the town council since the last elections for the 15-seat authority were held in 2022, leaving only nine of the original councillors still serving.

The following people stand in the election as councillor for Rockwell Green:

• Andy Denison for Reform UK.

• Bethany Rose Hill for the Labour Party.

• George Western for the Liberal Democrats.

• Edward Yates for The Conservative Party.

Voting for the election will take place on Tuesday, February 10, between 7 am and 10 pm.
