THE Newt Beer & Music Festival, now in its 27th year, is offering a bold new look and an exciting line-up of music and entertainment when it is held in July.
The festival, with two stages covered by two circus big tops, is broadening its appeal to a wider audience by introducing a dance and DJ tent featuring top DJs from the UK dance circuit.
Headlining the main stage on Saturday night are Mad Dog Mcrea, offering their blend of folk rock, pop, gypsy jazz, bluegrass and ‘shake your ass’ music.
On Friday night, with the ABBA revival in full swing, the headline band is ABBA’s Angels, one of the UK’s best-loved ABBA tribute acts.
Fourteen bands are performing over the course of the festival weekend.
The Mother’s Ruin Dance Tent provides a line-up of 11 DJs over two nights, including the highly acclaimed Addison Groove on Friday night and Jus Now on Saturday.
Tickets are £20 for the whole weekend, with under-18s accompanied by a responsible adult free of charge. Camping and free parking are available on-site.
The festival takes place over the weekend of July 6 and 7 at North Newton, between Bridgwater and Taunton.
