BLOOR Homes has continued its support for girls’ football team the Wellington Wildcats with a donation towards new kit for the 2026/27 season.
The announcement comes as the developer launches its brand new Lillebonne Place development of two, three and four bedroom homes in Wellington on October 3 and 4.
The housing developer previously sponsored the team back in 2024/25, when it played at U13s level. Senior Site Manager for the new development in Wellington, Jason Lockyer, is also a volunteer coach for the Wildcats where his daughter plays.
Formed in 1892, Wellington AFC runs more than 30 teams across the areas of adult men's and women's football as well as youth teams for boys and girls including the Wildcats. The teams offers boys and girls the opportunity to play football from the ages of seven to eighteen and beyond.
Sales and Marketing Director for Bloor Homes’ Exeter region, Sara Parker, said: “This is a great opportunity to continue our support for the Wildcats, especially with the personal link through Jason and his coaching team.
“With the continued growth of the women’s game, we're proud to help ensure these young players have everything they need to keep enjoying the sport.
“Good luck to the Wellington Wildcats U15s this season - we're all behind you!”
Jason Lockyer added: “A huge thank you goes to Bloor Homes for backing the girls again this season. Many of them have been playing together since the U13s sponsorship and it’s great to see their progression.
“Having new kits as they grow is really important; it helps them feel valued and ready to take on this next stage of their football journey.”
