Wellington railway station housing development could see more homes addedOne of the organisers, villager Maggie Gill, said the event was run for the first time last year as an experiment and more than 30 people turned up.
Visitors to the drop-in cafe being held between 2-4pm will be able to enjoy sandwiches, cake, mince pies and snacks, and a game of cards, dominoes and puzzles – and any left overs will be dropped at the homes of the housebound.
Maggie said she would like to thank Waitrose in Wellington, Milverton Stores and Wivey Cares for making contributions to the event. Entry is free but donations would be welcome for village hall funds.
