NYNEHEAD Court’s Big Breakfast earlier this month was attended by 60 people and raised £272 for the League of Friends of Musgrove Park Hospital.

The events are a regular occurrence at the home and take place in its Orangery from 8.30am to 10.30am. Pre-booking is not necessary and profits go to the chosen charity. Previous breakfasts have raised money for causes such as St Margaret’s Hospice, the Inner Wheel, Marie Curie and West Buckland Pre-School.

Home manager Angela Watkins said: “We are always delighted to host Big Breakfast events for good causes such as the League of Friends and are grateful to the local community for their continued support of our fundraising activities.

“A Big Breakfast for St Margaret’s Hospice, which had to be postponed because of the snow, will now take place in June, and our Midsummer Music event for Nynehead Church and ACEArts takes place on June 23.”
