THE Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills is to deliver a prestigious keynote address at the first Taunton Deane Business Conference next month.

Taunton MP Rebecca Pow will join The Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP in the opening speeches on the implications of the Government’s growth agenda for businesses at the conference at Somerset County Cricket Club on Thursday, December 3.

The event has been organised by the council’s economic development team to showcase development and investment opportunities in the borough and inform businesses of planned improvements to infrastructure.

The conference will focus on two key themes – connectivity across road, rail and digital infrastructure, and growing businesses in Taunton.
