BLUE cheese Duke of Wellington – for sale in Rosie’s Larder in Fore Street, Wellington – has achieved success at the annual World Cheese Awards.
The cheese was entered into Best New Blue and Best Blue categories at the awards, held in the gourmet mecca of San Sebastian in Spain.
And Duke of Wellington, made by family firm Cryer & Stott, from Castleford in Yorkshire, scooped gold and silver accolades.
The cheese was created for the British Embassy in Paris to celebrate 200 years of the embassy being in British hands and has been tasted by The Queen.
