FOOD critic, author and broadcaster William Sitwell has lauded Wellington store Olive & Rosy in North Street.

The Daily Telegraph restaurant critic, in a snippet in its Saturday magazine headed ‘William weighs in: a super Somerset deli’, he wrote: “Is there a better Italian deli in the world than Olive & Rosy in Wellington, Somerset? It’s run by Stefano, who drives to Veneto in a rickety yellow van to get produce. Barefoot, he plans wild and ambitiously named projects. Right now a sign declares: International Cheese Festival. ‘Every day is International Cheese Festival,’ Stefano admits. Last week I tried every cheese...all 12 of them.”

Sitwell has also been a critic on the BBC’s MasterChef programme.
