Two public meetings are being held this week to explore if there is appetite to purchase a village pub for the community.

The award-winning Globe Inn in Milverton served its last orders in September 2024. It is on the market for £380,000.

A spokesperson for the parish said: “No decision has been made. The Council is considering what community ownership might involve, how it could be funded, what the benefits and risks may be, and how parishioners should be consulted.”

“They are an opportunity to hear more about the feasibility work so far, ask questions and help shape the conversation.”

The meetings are at Victoria Rooms on Friday, September 18 at 7 pm and Saturday September 19 at 10 am.
