FLY tipping has become a blight on the countryside but at Rockwell Green it’s car tipping.
At least three vehicles have been left in the middle of the Green near Brocks’ store, causing problems for not only the shop but for customers and drivers.
“It would appear the vehicles are being used for storage and have been there for months,” said Lauren Brock whose father Simon runs the store.
“We have problems with deliveries and customers say they cannot park. Obviously it’s causing us a problem.”

Opinion: Five pence sprouts are great, but spare a thought for your high streetMiss Brock said she thought the vehicles were owned by ‘one person or one family’ but was reluctant to say who. They all appeared to be taxed.
“The tyres are down on two of the vehicles – a sports car and four-wheel drive,” she added. “I don’t know whether that would constitute illegal parking.”
The vehicles are parked next to each other preventing traffic flowing in both directions. They are also becoming an eyesore.
