THE leisure and lifestyle team at Oaktree Court, Wellington, were presented with the Team of the Year 2018 award during Majesticare’s prestigious annual award ceremony.
Helen Hill, Sharon Wescott and Nicky Kaced were delighted to be recognised for the varied and entertaining activities programme they deliver to residents at the care home.
A spokesperson said: “We are going out of our way to deliver personalised activities to our residents. This can be either a group activity or spending meaningful ‘one to one’ time with individuals.
“We are very fortunate to have a minibus at our availability so that we can take residents for as many outings as we can possibly squeeze in.
“Often we will go two to three times a week to places like National Trust locations around us, garden centres, tea-rooms, seaside for fish and chips and most recently we have been visiting Stawley Pre-school in Wellington to meet with the children, which was highly enjoyed by everyone involved.
“We regularly post our activities and upcoming events on our Facebook page (Oaktree Court Care Home) and would invite everyone to have a look.”
Majesticare business manager Dennis Tahalele said he is very proud of Helen, Sharon and Nicky for receiving the award.
“I have witnessed Oaktree Court leisure and lifestyle team’s passion, commitment and dedication first hand, which has been nothing short of amazing,” he said. “The team embodies our company’s vision wholeheartedly, which is to create outstanding places where people love to live and work.”
