CAT lover Jean Hellings, of Grange Close, Wellington, is trying to track down the owner of this young male cat.

She says he has been in the area for about a month and has been calling into local homes.

The cat is smokey grey with white legs and feet, has a white mark on his head, and is neutered.

Mrs Hellings said: “He is friendly – he lets me stroke him – but he is always hungry and I have been putting down food for him.”

She has taken him to a vet and was told he is not micro-chipped.
