THE manager of the Oxfam charity shop in South Street, Wellington, Simon Parkinson, has made a fresh plea to clients not to leave donated goods outside the premises over weekends.
Staff at the shop were met with a number of goods on Monday morning which were piled up outside the premises.
Mr Parkinson said: “We don’t like items being left outside the shop because they can be spoilt by bad weather, particularly rain. It took a long time for us to sort out the goods on Monday.
“Some of it was no good and will be recycled. Sometimes people have a clearcut and dump unwanted goods outside the shop. We would rather they brought them into us.
“We get some very generous donations but there are those who take advantage of us. We should not be used for dumping rubbish.’
