RUMWELL Farm Shop has presented £2,200 raised by staff and customers to children’s charity Escape Support Group.

The money was raised through collection tins, raffles, two charity quiz and supper evenings and some of the money from sales of chocolate raisins and apple chutney.

Joint owner Anne Mitchell said: “We also held a car wash in which 1st Wellington Scout Group gave a helping hand and we managed to raise £225 for the charity.

“We would like to thank all our staff, customers and the scout group for helping us raise this incredible amount of money for the local charity during the past year.”

Escape Support Group supports families who have a child, or children, with disabilities or specific individual needs in Somerset.

Escape team leader Sarah Phippen said: “The money will help us to continue to subsidise all the activities, day trips and events we organise.”
