CHURCHES Together is once again providing lunch in the United Reformed Church Hall on Christmas Day for people who might otherwise be on their own.

David Fletcher, who is connected with several local churches, will support him. David has for almost 20 years served as chef on Tall Ships training voyages.
The organisers are delighted to have many helpers from the Wellington churches and beyond. Grateful thanks are also due to Waitrose and its customers whose generosity last year was sufficient to support this year’s event as well. A traditional Christmas meal and drinks will be served, rounded off with a surprise Christmas present.
Those who will not be with family or friends at Christmas can get a ticket and come along at 12.30pm on the day. Tickets for up to 30 guests are available from Isabel Ward 43 Mantle Street,Wellington TA21 8AX. To reserve a place £5 should be enclosed with details of address and phone number.
