THE Churches Together group in Wellington has been awarded a grant for £250 towards its annual fun day.

Members of Wellington Town Council’s finance committee agreed last week to support the initiative being held for residents in and around Howard Road.

The finance committee’s recommendation was then verified by the full council.

The fun day is held in order to bring the community together and share in fun activities.

Additional funding of £300 towards the overall £600 cost has been requested from the Taunton Deane Residents’ Community Fund.
