THE Blackdown Healthy Living and Activity Centre (BHLAC) charity in Hemyock says more funding has been granted for its Low Cost Complementary Therapy Clinic.

The therapists – who provide acupuncture, Alexander Technique, counselling, foot health, homeopathy, hypnotherapy, massage and reflexology – have agreed to significantly reduce their charges to allow more people to use their services.

The Low Cost Clinic initiative is designed to increase the range of services and support available to people who need it for emotional, psychological and physical problems, have limited financial means and who live in the Blackdown Hills.

Centre manager Angela Dawson said: “BHLAC is passionate about empowering individuals of all ages to take sustainable and proactive steps towards a healthier lifestyle and greater well-being. We are delighted to be working with our therapists to make their services available to people who otherwise could not afford them.”
