The monthly Artisan Craft and Gift Market welcomed journalist and author Clinton Rogers at Wellington Baptist Church last month.
Clinton has been raising money for St Margaret’s Hospice Care with his autobiography.
As a non-profit group, the market was pleased to be able to donate £50 to his fundraising efforts as part of its monthly charity contributions.
The market is aiming to support a new local charity every month and the next event, on Saturday November 20, from 9.30am-1.30pm, will be in aid of The Christmas Sparkle Project.
This charity aims to provide a Christmas gift to every child living in difficult circumstances in the Taunton and Wellington communities.
The market is able to offer a collection point for any donations of new children’s toys on November 20. Anyone interested in joining the market or wishing to nominate a local charity for support can do so at the event.
