Milverton councillors look at £40k-plus project to repair cobbles damaged by lorriesThe toilets, next to the village’s Victoria Rooms, have been closed since the Covid-19 pandemic.
Now, they are due to be reopened after a project funded by Milverton Parish Council, which took over the toilet block from the former Taunton Deane Borough Council about six years ago.
Completion of the renovation work was held up because damp weather prevented decorators from painting the newly-plastered surfaces and heaters and dehumidifiers had to be used to speed up the drying process.
The work has been carried out by building contractors Karesa Group, based in Chelston, Wellington.
The parish council will also agree a new long-term cleaning contract for the toilets later this month.
