The Cornhill thoroughfare has been reopened after falling rubble forced it to close last month.
The town centre walkway was closed after parts of a building began to collapse following an overnight storm.

Debris fell from the upper floor of 3 Fore Street, with a bay window seen hanging from the first floor of the building.
Now it has been reopened after works were carried out to clear the risk of falling rubble.
Scaffolding was seen going up on Tuesday, April 18, before the bay window of concern appeared to be hoarded to prevent further debris falling.

Wellington town Cllr Zoe Barr said she was pleased the work to make the building safe had been carried out so quickly.Cllr Barr said: “Cornhill is an important part of the feel of our town centre and after all the challenges we have had there in recent years we now need to make sure it is kept open and vibrant as much as possible.
“Too often, the powers that be have been slow to take action to protect Wellington because we always seemed to have to play second fiddle to Taunton.
“Hopefully, that situation is changing now that we have a unitary council which is no-longer Taunton-centric and we will be able to get things like Cornhill sorted much quicker.
“Next on the list has to be the old newsagents Teare’s in South Street, a long-running eyesore which the district council abysmally failed to do anything about before the council was scrapped.”
