SPORTS leaders at Court Fields school in Wellington have had a very busy and successful year.
They have helped run and organise 12 primary sports festivals, six central venue league primary tournaments, a Step into Sport training day and numerous activities within PE lessons and extra-curricular clubs.
They have worked with more than 2,000 children from Court Fields’ feeder primary schools and have had nearly 35 hours of leadership experience over the year.
Some 29 sports leaders have gone above this commitment and have completed their Level 1 Qualification in Sports Leadership. A spokesperson for the school said: “This is a fantastic achievement, which has helped them all to gain essential life skills including communication skills, self-belief, team work and problem-solving skills.”
