P Daddy’s Pop Up Kitchen served up a carvery lunch al-fresco at Bishops Court in Wellington last week.
Many of the elderly residents have avoided going out during the Covid-19 crisis and lunch in the car park provided a treat.
Bishops Court manager Sara Brown said the last few months had been ‘quite difficult and mentally draining’ for residents.
P Daddy’s chef Paul Orellana-Fitch said he would normally be working at fetes and festivals over the summer but such events had been cancelled.
Instead he has been helping vulnerable people and key workers in and around the town by providing meals.
