DINNER guests at the Beambridge Inn, Wellington, will recreate the experience of living life with sight loss to raise awareness of the Blind Veterans UK (BVUK) charity.

The venue is hosting the event, at which diners will wear impairment glasses, don the latest in full eye coverage and dine with limited lighting, on behalf of Rotary EClub1200. The 19th Duke of Somerset is chief guest at the dinner on Saturday.

Beambridge Inn landlord Craig Holmes said: “While set to be a fun evening, the underlying cause certainly is anything but. I was more than happy to work in partnership with John Hardy, president of Rotary Eclub 1200, in raising not just awareness of the fantastic work and support that BVUK is committed to but also contributing funds to the charity.”

Some spaces may still be available for the evening – tickets are £35 including three-course meal. Phone The Beambridge Inn on 01823 672223.
