THE elderly owner of this Lurcher-Whippet cross, which went missing between Wellington and Cullompton, at Maiden Down, close to the M5 and A38, is desperate to have her back for Christmas.

Ten-year-old Tips, who is very shy and timid and has white tips on her front feet, belongs to Penny Marshall, who lives in Cullompton.

Tips went missing on Penny’s 80th birthday, Sunday, October 4, and Penny feels sure someone has taken her in and is looking after her.

Tips is micro-chipped and if anyone does have her they are asked to have Tips’ microchip scanned at a vet’s or dog kennels, or phone 01884 35782/35545.

Neighbour Trish James says Penny does a lot of work for the community and that they would travel anywhere to get Tips back.
