THE Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, which has its head office in Wellington, is looking for a business to become its 2024 charity partner.

The DSAA, which is funded almost entirely by donations, attended more than 2,000 incidents in 2023, their busiest year on record.

At a cost of around £10 million a year, it isn't cheap to keep the helicopter in the year 365 days a year.

The charity are now searching for a business to back them for the year, to help with their running costs. A spokesperson for the DSAA extended a message to local businesses. They said: "By becoming a DSAA Charity Partner, your business can have a direct impact on supporting our life-saving service which is helping patients in need across our two counties.
