THERE was double success at this year’s South West Care Awards for the team at Nynehead Court, with two members of staff recognised for their outstanding contribution to the care profession.
Kirsty Norman was named ‘Winner in the Care Assessor’ category, while Emma Lapthorn received ‘Highly Commended Best Newcomer’.
Kirsty’s award celebrates her exceptional skill and commitment to high-quality care.
A Nynehead Court spokesperson said: “Her thoroughness, empathy and leadership have made a lasting impact on both residents and colleagues. She sets a benchmark in best practice and plays a vital role in ensuring that our standards remain consistently high.”
Newcomer Emma’s award celebrates her “positive attitude, natural warmth, and ability to build meaningful relationships with residents”.
The spokesperson continued: “Since joining the team, she has brought energy, kindness, and professionalism to everything she does. Her future in care looks very bright indeed.”
They added: “We would also like to extend our thanks to Nick, who kindly drove the team to the event through poor weather conditions, making sure everyone arrived safely and in high spirits.
“We are proud of Kirsty, proud of Emma, and proud of the whole team who make Nynehead Court such a special place to live and work.”
