YEAR 3 and 4 pupils arrived at Beech Grove Primary School, Wellington, dressed as Ancient Egyptians.

They were transfixed by the visiting storyteller who enthralled them with the story of Osiris and led drama activities that allowed them to live the tale.

Early engineering was explored by children through the Shaduf construction workshop and they had the opportunity to design and make Egyptian jewellery.

The immersion in Ancient Egyptian life has prompted many ideas for the school’s Walk Like An Egyptian production.
