POLICE have arrested two people after a number of cannabis plants were discovered in a premises affected by a fire which ripped through a new kebab takeaway shop in North Street, Wellington in the early hours of Friday.

The discovery of the cannabis, along with an air rifle, was made by fire fighters as they fought to stop the blaze spreading to adjoining premises.
