Pupils learned about items brought in by the Living History Mobile Museum in the morning, and some even got to try on a soldier’s jacket, helmet and webbing.
In the afternoon, they were joined by Candy Adkins, daughter of the famous ‘Spitfire girl’ Jackie Moggridge. Candy shared information about her mother, who is recognised for her achievements in aviation.
The children were inspired by Jackie’s courage during such challenging times.
