A SECONDARY school has partnered with a Bristol rugby academy to improve sports development opportunities for students.

Wellington School says its new partnership with the Bristol Bears Academy “marks a significant step forward in Wellington’s commitment to elite player development.”

Wellington School’s head of rugby, Will Garrett, said: “We are honoured to partner with the Bristol Bears Academy and further strengthen our shared commitment to developing young rugby talent.

“With a growing number of our pupils already part of the Bears pathway, and a strong history of alumni representing the Academy, we are in an ideal position to nurture players with aspirations of competing at the highest levels of the sport.”
