WATCHET Community Cinema will screen the film ‘The Friend’ on Friday, March 13.
The story follows writer and teacher Iris, played by Naomi Watts, whose quiet life in New York is turned upside down after her close friend and mentor, played by Bill Murray, dies suddenly and leaves her his beloved 70-kilogram Great Dane, Apollo.
As Iris struggles with the practical challenges of caring for the dog, from damaged furniture to eviction threats, she also begins to confront grief and memories of her friend.
The film explores the powerful bond between humans and their pets.
The screening will take place at Knights Templar School in Watchet.
Doors open at 6.30 pm for a 7 pm start, with £4 tickets available on the door.
