THE countdown has begun for Somerset Day, a weekend brimming with local pride, music, food, and community, set to return in two weeks.

Taking place across the weekend of May 10-11, Somerset Day offers craft fairs, street parties, historical re-enactments, farm tours, cheese and cider tastings, and family fun at every turn.

For the foodies, there are opportunities galore to eat the finest local produce, either at eatTaunton, or by joining the Big Somerset Picnic.

And for music fans, one of the biggest weekend events is the Barrel & Bloom Festival, with live music at Rich’s Cider Farm, including headliners The Wurzels, who will be bringing their classic tunes Combine Harvester and I am a Cider Drinker to the stage.
