THE Uffculme Show and Country Fayre is set to return to Bridwell Park on Sunday, August 31.

Running from 10am to 5pm, this year’s event marks a new chapter for the show, now organised by the Uffculme Show Association (USA), following the Exe Valley Rotary Club’s time at the helm.

The main ring programme will open with the award-winning Diamond Twirlers Majorettes, followed by highlights including two Civil War re-enactments by Mark Vaughan’s History Workshops, falconry displays from North Devon Falconry, and the circus artistry of Higher Beings.

Making their debut in Uffculme are the Red Barrows, whose wheelbarrow aerobatics are guaranteed to bring laughter and applause. The programme also features the popular vintage tractor parade, before concluding in stirring style with a performance from the Tiverton Town Band at 4.15pm.

Elsewhere on site, visitors will discover attractions including a large classic and vintage car display, a display of working stationary engines, and a dedicated children’s area featuring Professor Bumble, Rainbow Gecko’s bubble magic, Punch and Judy, circus workshops, inflatables, and even ferret racing.

Around the show ground there will also be artisan craft and gift stalls, local produce, street food, funfair games, and community stands.

The music festival stage offers another full day of entertainment, with five acts including performances from Piano Bike Girl (Chloe Marie Aston) with her unique travelling piano at 10.20am, followed by folk-inspired duo Dave & Rich at 11.45am. The afternoon brings vintage blues from Vince Lee and Sophie Lord, crowd-pleasing classics from Chill, and a high-energy finale from Rock the Night, covering everyone from Queen and AC/DC to Guns N’ Roses.

The ever-popular dog show will take place once again from 11am, with classes ranging from pedigree classes to fun family favourites such as ‘Best Rescue’, ‘Waggiest Tail’, and ‘Best 6 Legs’.
