THE New Inn, Halse, is hosting the maiden solo exhibition of local artist Sue Walsh, featuring a collection of local landscapes and still life pictures in oils and mixed media.

Sue has developed her own personal style of working over the past 20 years and enjoys painting en plein air, and several of the pictures exhibited were produced in this way.

Sue travels with a sketchbook and rather than photographs, records her travels in pen and wash pictures, some of which become the basis for working in her studio.

One mixed media picture attracting a lot of interest features Watchet Harbour.

Sue thanked New Inn management for hosting the exhibition in the cafe, which runs until the end of April.
