PRIVATELY owned Hemyock Castle will be open to the public during special Open days on bank holiday Mondays between until September.

The scheduled Ancient Monument will be open on the May and August bank holiday Mondays at the usual 1980s entry price of £1 for adults and 50p for schoolchildren 50p, cash only.

The Heritage Open Day on Sunday September 13, from 2 pm to 5 pm is free of charge. St Mary’s Church Hemyock will also be open. This year’s Heritage Open Day theme is “Everyday Histories.”

Hemyock Castle public open days (from 2 pm to 5pm) include May 4, Bank Holiday Monday (£1), May 25 Spring Bank Holiday Monday (£1), August 31 Summer Bank Holiday Monday (£1) and Sunday, September 13, Heritage Open Day (free entry).
