Young Somerset will also be running the café at the hub from September.

From Wednesday, July 30, until Wednesday, August 27, the charity will be putting on twice weekly activities for 11 to 16 year olds, with a morning and afternoon session every Wednesday.

“Young Somerset’s youth workers will be delivering a range of activities based at the new Wellington Kings arms community hub across the school summer holidays of 2025 including some specific sessions for SEND young people.

“Young Somerset will also be running the café at the hub from September and their will be some trial days, on Wednesdays, during August. The public are welcome to pop in for a chat with the team on these days.”

Activity options range from tie dye on July 30 to an animation session on August 14, both taking place from 10am until 12.30pm.

Mosaic making will take place at the same time on August 6, with focussed STEM activities on August 27 from 1.30pm until 4pm.

Young Somerset is the largest youth and community support charity in Somerset, providing a range of bespoke services for young people and their families to suit the needs of the communities we operate in.

Founded in 1997 as Somerset Rural Youth Project, the initiative moved away from open access, universal services during the pandemic, and now provides targeted support for young people including alternative education and mental health provision among other services.
