STAFF at Rumwell farm shop have chosen to support a charity dedicated to reducing violence through education.

They have picked Stand Against Violence (SAV) in Taunton as one of their charities of

the year and hope to raise at least £1,750 for the organisation.

Joint owner Anne Mitchell said: “We have a number of fundraising ideas, from a quiz night in our cafe to a car wash, and even a charity afternoon tea.”

SAV delivers violence prevention workshops and talks to education establishments, businesses and the community.

The workshops and talks focus on personal safety, anger and aggression, basic life support and the awareness of choices and consequences.

SAV was set up in 2005 following the murder of 17-year-old Lloyd Fouracre in Taunton.

His brother, Adam, is charity chief executive.
