Anne Mitchell, joint owner of the farm shop and cafe, said: “Somerset Sight was one of our chosen charities of the year for 2015 and we’re delighted to have donated £1,000 to its cause.
“The money was raised in a number of ways such as hosting a raffle at our Rumwell by Candlelight event, donating 10p from each sale of our large free range eggs and also 10p from every pack of lemon bon bons. To add to this I also wore glasses that simulated Glaucoma vision for eight hours in aid of charity.
“We would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to all our staff and customers for helping us raise this fantastic amount of money for the charity during the past year.”
