Santa arrived in style in a Wildcat AH1 helicopter at Wellesley Park Primary School in Wellington on Wednesday (December 8), watched by children and staff.

The pilot made a perfect landing and a jolly Santa made a surprise exit from the helicopter to greet the delighted children.

Santa arrived thanks to a crew of 847 Naval Air Squadron based at RNAS Yeovilton.

Headteacher Carly Wilkins said: "We hope this brings some of the magic of Christmas to the children of our school as well as giving our pupils the opportunity to see a helicopter in action.

"We are really grateful to Graham Smith for organising this magical visit. This is such a wonderful experience for the children and something they will always remember - as well as inspiring the next generation of naval recruits!"
