A PLANNED film festival in Wellington is likely to have ‘lights, camera, action’ in April next year.
Wellington Town Council’s town centre working group has been looking into the possibility of holding a movie festival for several months.
And it has now been decided that the festival is likely to be held over a three-day period in April 2020.
Project co-ordinator Rowen Wilde has been in contact with Merlin Cinemas to start discussions while some events might be film-related rather than the screening of a movie itself such as a discussion group.
Councillors heard last week it is likely that venues for the festival could include pubs and schools.
