WELLINGTON Sports Centre in Corams Lane was evacuated after a fire alarm was reported going off last Wednesday evening.

Two fire appliances from the town attended after the call was made just after 7pm and crews found smoke coming from the server room area. Firefighters using breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera investigated and found a small fire. They left duty of care with staff on site.
