TWO of Wellington’s major employers have been thanked for releasing their staff over many decades to serve as retained firefighters.

Representatives from Relyon and Swallowfield received certificates recognising the companies’ service to the community at Wellington fire station.

Swallowfield has released staff to respond to emergency calls for over 35 years and Relyon for over 30 years.
